Whether you choose the dense coastal rainforest of the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge or the breathtaking panoramic views of the Samasati mountains, this tour is designed to provide memorable sightings for both casual bird lovers and serious ornithologists. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the jungle as we track down some of the most beautiful species in Central America.

Departure/Pick-up: Meet your guide at 6:00 AM (the best time for bird activity). We will head to either the Manzanillo or Samasati area, depending on your preference.

The Expedition: A slow-paced guided walk through primary or secondary forest. We will scan the canopy and undergrowth for key species such as the Keel-billed Toucan, Collared Aracari, Red-capped Manakin, and the majestic King Vulture.

Bird Listing: During the walk, your guide will help you identify species by call and plumage, maintaining a log of the day's sightings.

Wrap-up: Return to the meeting point or your hotel around 10:00 AM.
